Since I just got the car I'm not sure what caused it, and the previous owner doesn't know either. I went through a car wash, and then had the same symptoms, except the affected headlight started to point way off to the right side of the road. The last e90 I had, the back cover was not completely sealed after an unrelated repair. I do know there was a very minor accident on the car, years ago. I've read the stepper motors rarely "die," but can often be knocked out of place after a severe pothole. Can anyone suggest a solid starting point? Both headlights are centered correctly (no cyclops, askew angles). I have abused the sht out of the search function of this forum and have yet to get anywhere and may in fact be worse off than when I started. ![]() ![]() Help Ok, so I have been working on this one for weeks. When starting the car, the headlights do bow up then center back down (although the headlights do seem to aim a bit low on the road, could just be me though). 13 Posts Drives: 2007 335xi Join Date: Feb 2013 Location: Fort Collins Co iTrader: ( 0) Adaptive Headlights. ![]() I've just picked up a pre lci (2006) E90 with the xenon headlights, and my adaptive headlight warning light is on the dash (shows up ~30 seconds after starting the engine).
